We have weathered difficult times by focusing on customer relationships, maintaining a strong operational base, and diversifying our services. What are Faisal Higgi’s core services and strategic goals for the coming years, and how does the company tailor its services to meet the unique needs of clients in the Middle East?
At FMH, we offer a comprehensive range of services that include ship agency services, ship supply services, and customs clearance. We understand that clients in the Middle East have unique operational needs, particularly with the region’s fast-paced growth and evolving regulations. Therefore, our services are designed to be flexible and customizable, ensuring that each client receives tailored support.
Our strategic goals for the coming years include expanding our footprint in international markets, continuing to enhance our service offerings, and further investing in technology to streamline operations and improve efficiency. We also aim to strengthen our partnerships within the region, particularly in supporting the maritime and logistics sectors’ growth in Saudi Arabia.
In pursuing operational excellence in ship agency, what recent upgrades have you made to ship/port operations?
Operational excellence is central to our business model. Recently, we have implemented several key upgrades to enhance the efficiency of our port operations. This includes modernizing our communication systems to provide real-time updates to clients, improving our logistics coordination, and enhancing safety protocols.
Also, our teams are equipped with the latest tools and technologies to respond to clients’ needs promptly and effectively, ensuring we meet and exceed industry standards.
How is your company using new technologies to improve safety and efficiency in maritime operations?
Safety and efficiency are critical aspects of our operations. We have embraced several new technologies that help us achieve these goals. For instance, we have introduced advanced tracking systems that allow us to monitor vessel movements and cargo in real-time, which reduces delays and improves coordination. Additionally, we have adopted digital platforms for documentation and clearance processes, minimizing paperwork and human error.
Our safety management systems have been enhanced with predictive maintenance tools, ensuring that our vessels and equipment are always in optimal condition. These technologies not only streamline our operations but also help us maintain a high standard of safety for our crews and clients.

Additionally, we are considering entering new sectors such as offshore support services and specialized marine logistics, which align with our expertise and the growing demand in those areas.
As a key player in the Saudi maritime and shipping market, how do you assess your role in driving the ongoing renaissance and development within this sector?
The maritime sector in Saudi Arabia is undergoing a significant transformation, and we are proud to be part of this renaissance. Our role has been to provide the foundational services that support this growth, from managing port operations to ensuring smooth logistics for international trade.
We also see ourselves as ambassadors of the Saudi maritime industry, showcasing the country’s potential as a major hub for global shipping and logistics.
Through our efforts, we aim to contribute to the kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals by facilitating trade, promoting tourism, and enhancing the overall competitiveness of Saudi ports.
