Sharjah Maritime Academy (SMA) has participated in the delivery of the SANAD Programme, an initiative designed to prepare a new generation of Emirati maritime security professionals.
Delivered in collaboration with Dubai Ports, Customs & Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) and DP World, the 18-month programme combined academic instruction, practical training, and field experience to equip participants with the knowledge and operational skills needed to enhance maritime security and support the continued growth of the UAE’s maritime sector.
According to the academy, the initiative highlights the role of collaboration between academic institutions and industry partners in developing a skilled maritime workforce and strengthening national capabilities to meet the sector’s evolving needs.
The programme concluded with the graduation of its participants, marking the completion of the joint training initiative delivered by Sharjah Maritime Academy, Dubai Ports, Customs & Free Zone Corporation, and DP World.
