According to operational data, the ports handled more than 493,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) during the first half of 2026, in addition to nearly 273,000 tons of general cargo, underscoring sustained growth in maritime trade volumes.
During June 2026 alone, Qatar’s ports received 121 vessels, marking a 21% increase compared to May of the same year, reflecting an expansion in shipping activity and rising demand for port services.

Bulk cargo also recorded strong performance, surpassing 67,000 tons in June, representing a 40% increase compared to the previous month, driven by higher import and export activity across various commodities.
Hamad Port continues to strengthen its position as Qatar’s main maritime gateway and one of the region’s leading ports, supported by advanced infrastructure and high-capacity operations connecting more than 100 global destinations, reinforcing Qatar’s growing role as a regional logistics and trade hub.
