Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait is upgrading its terminal operating system with a cloud-based option to gain real-time visibility of operations and to integrate workflows.
Located near Kuwait City, Shuwaikh Port is one of the country’s principal commercial ports and gateways for international trade.
It handles containers, general cargo and roro traffic with extensive berthing facilities and cargo-handling infrastructure.
To manage and operate this infrastructure more effectively, Eusu Holdings subsidiary CyberLogitec’s Opus Terminal M cloud-based system will be installed.
This is part of Shuwaikh Port’s digital transformation of terminal operations to improve operational efficiency and reduce emissions.
Opus is a single integrated platform supporting vessel operations, planning, yard and equipment management, gate operations, operational monitoring and data management.
Its deployment at Shuwaikh Port should strengthen CyberLogitec’s presence in the Middle East, where demand for terminal digitalisation is rising despite the geopolitical tensions and conflicts affecting their operations.
Seoul, South Korea-headquartered CyberLogitec recently won a contract with TTI Algeciras in Spain to provide its Opus Terminal M and digital twin solutions for the port’s B1 terminal expansion project.
