TEN Ltd. has ordered a second liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier from Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea, further strengthening its presence in the LNG shipping sector. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2029.
The latest order brings TEN’s newbuilding programme to 20 vessels, underscoring the company’s continued focus on fleet renewal and long-term growth. The first vessel in the programme, the DP2 shuttle tanker Anfield DP, is expected to be delivered in late July 2026 and has secured a minimum 10-year charter with a major U.S. oil company, with extension options that could extend employment to up to 20 years.
TEN President and Chief Operating Officer George Saroglou stated, “We are delighted to expand our presence in the ever-evolving LNG sector, a market we are actively participating in since 2007. The growing global energy demand fueled by geopolitical developments has increased the need for LNG as an alternative source.”
