Jianglong Shipbuilding has held the keel-laying ceremony for its SPA65 AHTS vessel, marking a key milestone in the company’s offshore vessel business.
Designed to operate in complex sea conditions worldwide, the high-end offshore support vessel reflects Jianglong Shipbuilding’s ongoing transformation and upgrading of its offshore vessel operations.
The SPA65 AHTS vessels industry-leading performance parameters. With an overall length of 64.0 meters and a moulded breadth of 16.8 meters, the vessel features a design speed of no less than 13 knots and a maximum continuous bollard pull of no less than 68 metric tons. Equipped with an advanced electric propulsion system, azimuth thrusters and DP-2 dynamic positioning system, it delivers stable power, precise manoeuvrability, energy efficiency and low noise.
Fitted with professional anchor handling equipment, the vessel can efficiently perform offshore anchor deployment and retrieval as well as heavy towing operations. Its spacious working deck and complete fire-fighting and life-saving facilities fully support diversified offshore tasks including material transportation for offshore platforms, operational support and emergency protection, showcasing outstanding overall operational capability.
Since the project kicked off, Jianglong Shipbuilding has maintained close collaboration with the SPEC technical team and ABS.
