On Jan 1 several perpetrators, armed with knives and clubs, sneaked on board of car carrier VIKING DIAMOND, berthed at Casablanca, Morocco.
The crew, consisting mostly of Ukrainian sailors from Odessa, didn’t panic or succumb, and fought robbers off with whatever was at hand.

Robbers fled, but by this time Morocco police or military already responded and arrived at the scene, seizing several of them.
All crew are safe.
