Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY), the leading industrial maritime hub, has successfully completed a major maintenance and upgrade project for the Admarine 339 drilling rig, owned by ADES, a leading international provider of oil and gas drilling services. The rig arrived at ASRY to undergo a comprehensive scope of work, including a Special Periodic Survey (SPS), drydocking, maintenance, and major upgrades as part of ADES' fleet enhancement program.
The project was delivered safely, on time, and within budget, reflecting the exceptional collaboration and long-standing partnership between ASRY and ADES.
The docking of Admarine 339 marked a significant milestone for ASRY. As a JU-2000E design, it became the largest jack-up drilling rig ever docked at the yard, reinforcing ASRY's advanced technical capabilities and its capacity to accommodate highly complex offshore assets. The successful docking operation required innovative engineering solutions and meticulous execution. Extensive planning, detailed engineering studies, and close collaboration between ASRY and ADES ensured the project was delivered in line with the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
The project also represented another key achievement for ASRY, with the yard becoming an NOV-approved Repair Facility. For the first time, equipment that previously required shipment to external NOV facilities was repaired directly within ASRY's workshops in full compliance with OEM procedures and quality standards. This achievement delivered significant savings in logistics costs and turnaround time, further enhancing operational efficiency and reinforcing ASRY's capability to provide integrated, high-quality repair solutions.
