Trans Misr Terminal (TMT) has achieved a new operational milestone with the successful handling of MV CMA CGM Eugenie, marking the deepest draft container vessel ever handled at the terminal and across Egyptian ports.
During the vessel’s call, MV CMA CGM Eugenie sailed with a draft of 16.9 metres, setting a new benchmark that demonstrates the terminal’s capability to accommodate the latest generation of large container vessels.
The operation also featured container stacks reaching up to Tier 10 on deck, reflecting the growing scale of modern shipping and the importance of precise coordination and advanced terminal capabilities.
In total, TMT teams successfully handled 13,472 TEUs during the vessel’s call, highlighting the operational efficiency and economies of scale that large container ships bring when supported by robust port infrastructure.
The achievement underscores Trans Misr Terminal’s strong infrastructure, operational efficiency, and the dedication of its teams, who continue to push operational limits and strengthen the terminal’s role within regional container shipping networks.
TMT extended its appreciation to its teams and partners whose collaboration and commitment contributed to this significant milestone.
