Port Training Institute, AASTMT has officially signed a strategic agreement to train crane operators at the Nador Container Terminal in Morocco—a joint venture between Marsa Maroc and global shipping line CMA CGM.
The signing ceremony was held in the Kingdom of Morocco in the presence of H.E. Prof. Ismail Abdel Gaffar Ismail Farag, President of Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, alongside Prof. Alaa Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute & Maritime Research and Consultation Center, and Mr. Ihab Hamdy, Assistant Dean for Financial and Administrative Affairs at PTI.
This strategic partnership establishes a comprehensive, multi-phase crane operator training program for the Marsa Maroc and CMA CGM joint venture at Nador Container Terminal while simultaneously establishing a nationwide framework agreement to elevate workforce skills across all Marsa Maroc port facilities.
This landmark partnership marks a significant step forward in standardizing operational efficiency, capacity building, and maritime safety across the region.
