In a new milestone supporting Egypt’s efforts to boost domestic natural gas production, Petroleum Marine Services (PMS) has successfully completed the laying of three subsea pipelines for Phase Four of the Kamose Offshore Gas Field Development Project, operated by the North Sinai Petroleum Company (NOSPCO).
The project forms part of the first pillar of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy, which focuses on increasing natural gas output and reinforcing Egypt’s energy security.
The scope of work involved the installation of three 8-inch subsea pipelines using PMS’s owned pipelay barge, PMS-12, a specialized vessel designed for subsea pipeline installation and offshore platform construction. The operation was completed in full compliance with the highest quality and safety standards, while adhering to the approved project schedule.
The successful completion of the three subsea pipelines marks a significant milestone in the offshore works of Phase Four of the Kamose Offshore Gas Field Development Project, which was awarded to PMS.
The achievement also paves the way for the installation of the new production platforms Hoor, KSE-1, and Snefru, representing the next stage in the field’s development.
The accomplishment further underscores PMS’s role as a strategic partner in the development of Egypt’s offshore oil and gas sector, supported by its highly skilled Egyptian workforce, advanced marine fleet, and extensive experience in executing complex offshore engineering and construction projects.
