An oil tanker exploded and caught fire after striking mines in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Monday, according to Fars News Agency. The IRGC did not specify when the incident occurred.
Iranian state media identified the Panama-flagged tanker as El Gaia.
