Following a successful bid in a competitive international tender, Nafith Egypt, a joint venture between Egytrans NOSCO and Nafith International Group, has signed a second partnership agreement with the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) to develop and operate a truck marshaling yard and digital truck flow management system at Sokhna Port.
The agreement follows the signing of a similar partnership for West Port Said Port, marking a further milestone for Nafith Egypt and strengthening its position in Egypt’s logistics sector.
With an investment exceeding EGP 1 billion and covering an area of 167,000 square meters, the project will operate through Nafith’s digital platforms, using real-time planning to organize truck arrivals and movements through the port, helping reduce waiting times and congestion.
At full operation, the yard will accommodate up to 1,100 trucks, while daily throughput is expected to increase by up to 60% within two years.
The partnership with the Suez Canal Economic Zone reflects continued confidence in the project, while the collaboration between Nafith and Egytrans NOSCO has supported the agreement and its development.
Operations at Sokhna Port are expected to launch soon, as the companies continue to invest in sustainable strategic assets aimed at shaping the future of logistics in the region.
