After nine years in the role, Mark O’Neil has stepped down as president at Columbia Shipmanagement and CEO of Columbia Group.
Media reports indicate that owner Heinrich Schoeller informed employees of O’Neil’s immediate departure in an internal note. No reason was provided in the memo.
Andreas Hadjipetrou, previously chief operating officer, has been appointed interim CEO of the Columbia Group.
“The organization remains committed to facilitating an orderly transition and upholding operational continuity,” Schoeller said.
O’Neil has been among the most prominent figures in shipmanagement over the past decade, having led one of the top 10 global managers based in Cyprus.
