MARDIPLO S.A. announced that its Co-Founder and Managing Director, Dr. Mary Papaschinopoulou, met with the Ambassador of Lebanon to the Hellenic Republic, H.E. Mr. Kanj Al Hajal, at the Embassy of Lebanon in Athens on 26 February 2026.
The meeting addressed prospects for enhanced cooperation in maritime diplomacy and regional collaboration. Discussions covered expert advocacy and diplomatic resolution services for commercial maritime disputes, as well as advisory and facilitation services aimed at strengthening engagement with Greek public and private maritime stakeholders.
The dialogue also highlighted capacity-building initiatives targeting young diplomats and officials in the field of Maritime Corporate Diplomacy, reflecting a shared interest in institutional development and knowledge exchange.
Lebanon’s strategic location along Eastern Mediterranean shipping routes was underscored during the meeting, alongside the expanding role of the Port of Tripoli as an emerging logistics hub and ongoing modernization efforts at the Port of Beirut.
