Islamic P&I participated in the WMU Maritime Affairs Conference 2026 in Malmö, held under the theme “Transforming Shipping in Practice: Decarbonization, Digitalization and Arctic Navigation.”
The conference brought together maritime experts and stakeholders from across sectors, regions and disciplines to foster dialogue, share knowledge and advance practical solutions for a changing maritime sector.
Cooperation emerged as an important theme throughout the event, highlighting that the challenges facing shipping cannot be addressed in isolation. Progress depends on practical dialogue between education, regulation and industry.
The conference also highlighted the importance of bringing diverse perspectives together and supporting global maritime education and knowledge-sharing.
