More than 470 people from across the maritime community came together for the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Middle East Conference and Awards Night 2026, reflecting the Institute's role in connecting professionals across generations and disciplines.
The event brought together industry leaders, experienced professionals, tutors, members, students and young professionals for an evening of learning, recognition and professional connection. The programme combined expert perspectives with the celebration of student and industry achievement, underlining the importance of education and continuous professional development to the future of maritime.
The Institute welcomed Guest of Honour Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan, Chairman of Transworld, and Krishnan Subramaniam FICS, International Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. Their presence, support and encouragement added distinction to the occasion.
The conference featured keynote speaker Jasmin Fichte alongside speakers and panellists Nitin Mathur, Thomas Stjernholm, Capt. Sastry Pappu and Akshay Misra. Together, they shared practical experience and diverse perspectives, adding depth and value to the conference discussions.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of students and award recipients. Their achievements reflected the dedication, learning and professional excellence that the Institute seeks to foster throughout the maritime sector.
