It has been officially announced by Shell Marine, that Houda Dabboussi will assume the role of President at Shell Marine, effective October 1, 2024. Prior to this appointment, Houda held the position of Global Head of Acquisition, Divestments, and New Business Development for Renewable Energy Solutions.
With a solid background in integrated gas, commercial delivery, carbon capture and storage, hydrogen, and nature-based solutions, Houda is well-equipped to lead the company through a pivotal period of transformation in the maritime industry. She is also noted for her passionate advocacy for youth education and her active investment in startups, reflecting her commitment to fostering innovation and mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs.
This announcement coincides with Melissa Williams’s transition from her role as President of Shell Marine. Melissa has played a crucial role in promoting collaboration within the shipping industry to enhance decarbonization efforts. As she steps into a new role leading the Trading Operations Products team at Shell, she will oversee the delivery of oil products and chemical feedstocks to customers worldwide.
