The Genoa Maritime Forum will take place on June 17 - 18 in Genoa, welcoming a broad cross - section of the maritime industry. Shipowners that are local, regional, and from across the world will attend alongside ship managers, port authorities, regulators, policy makers, classification societies, and a diverse mix of technology companies, service providers, and suppliers.
The forum’s agenda is structured around ten panel discussions designed to address the most pressing issues facing the sector. Environmental transformation will be a major focus, with Navigating the Green Horizon exploring global decarbonization strategies, and Fuel Pathways Showdown comparing fuel options such as methanol, ammonia, LNG / Bio-LNG, and drop-in biofuels. Additional sessions, including Energy Efficiency Revolution and Retrofit & Conversion, will highlight practical solutions that can be implemented in the near term to improve performance and reduce emissions.
Operational resilience and workforce considerations are also central to the program. The Human Element will examine seafarer wellbeing and safety, while Cyberproof Operations will address the growing need to protect fleets and port systems from cyber risks. The role of innovation will be explored through The Digital Ocean, AI in Maritime Operations, and Next-Generation Shipbuilding - sessions that will demonstrate how technology is reshaping maritime operations and vessel design. The agenda will also cover passenger shipping through Cruise Fleet Modernization - focusing on efficiency, compliance, and onboard experience.
Alongside the conference program, the forum is designed to facilitate meaningful industry connections. With approximately 30 exhibitors participating, attendees will be able to engage directly with companies offering solutions across decarbonization, digital systems, maintenance, crewing, and other essential maritime services. Dedicated networking sessions will provide a structured environment for discussions, helping participants identify opportunities, exchange expertise, and establish new partnerships.
The event will also include a gala cocktail reception - offering a more informal setting where conversations can continue, and relationships can be strengthened.
As one of the Mediterranean’s most important ports, Genoa provides a fitting location for the forum. Its long-standing maritime heritage, combined with its scenic and vibrant atmosphere, creates an ideal setting for bringing the industry together to exchange ideas and shape the future of global shipping.
