Greece-based shipowner FGM Chartering has emerged as the new owner of a modern Ultramax bulk carrier sold by compatriot DryDel Shipping, further expanding its dry bulk platformShipbrokers reported last October that Costas Delaportas-led DryDel had sold 2019-built, 63,562-dwt Andiamo to undisclosed Greek interests for around US$30M. Shipping data platforms show that the vessel has recently been renamed BC Agility and is now listed under FGM Chartering’s ownership.
The company also noted on its website that an unidentified Japanese-built Ultramax bulk carrier – matching Andiamo’s specifications – joined its fleet on 8 January.
Founded in 2012, FGM Chartering currently operates a diverse fleet of 18 vessels, ranging from 25,000 dwt to 63,600 dwt, according to its website.
The owner is also running a newbuilding programme for five Handysize vessels, two of which were delivered between August and September 2025, with the remaining three scheduled to join the fleet in 2026 and 2027.
FGM Chartering had an active 2025 in the sale market, having disposed of four vessels built between 2006 and 2012, according to its website.
Meanwhile, DryDel Shipping continues to renew its fleet through strategic secondhand sales, particularly of modern units, replacing them with newbuildings. The company currently operates 12 active bulk carriers and has 11 more under construction, including recently added Capesize tonnage. DryDel remains a strong supporter of Japanese shipyards.
