Dubai-based multinational DP World has confirmed that Jebel Ali Port’s container and general cargo terminals remain fully operational. The company is working closely with UAE authorities, shipping lines, logistics partners, and other ports in the country to minimise potential disruptions and support the continued movement of cargo.
Ahmad Yousef Al-Hassan, CEO & Managing Director of DP World GCC, emphasized the company’s operational priorities, saying: “Trade is becoming more interconnected and complex than ever, and our priority is to keep cargo moving safely and efficiently for our customers. We are monitoring developments in the Arabian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz closely and operating our Dubai ports and terminals with enhanced safety and security measures.”
Al-Hassan’s remarks underscore DP World’s commitment to ensuring seamless trade flow and operational resilience across the UAE, highlighting the close collaboration with authorities and logistics partners to maintain safe and efficient port operations.
Following these operational updates, DP World also announced the appointment of Ahmad Yousef Al-Hassan as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director for the GCC. In his new role, Al-Hassan oversees an integrated portfolio spanning ports and terminals, economic zones, digital technology, and logistics solutions across the UAE, Saudi Arabia , Oman, and markets in the Upper Gulf. He will lead strategy and performance across the region, with a focus on strengthening end-to-end supply chains and delivering integrated logistics solutions that make trade simpler and more reliable for customers.
