ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S), the maritime and shipping arm of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), has taken delivery of Al Rahba, a state-of-the-art liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier constructed by China's Jiangnan Shipyard.
This marks the second of six LNG vessels commissioned under ADNOC L&S’s strategic fleet expansion program, which kicked off in 2022. The program aims to strengthen the company’s shipping capabilities in support of ADNOC’s growing global energy operations.
With a carrying capacity of 175,000 cubic meters, Al Rahba features cutting-edge, energy-efficient technologies, including next-generation LNG dual-fuel main engines. According to ADNOC L&S, the vessel can reduce methane emissions by up to 50% compared to older-generation carriers, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainability and lower-carbon shipping solutions.

The first vessel in the series, Al Shelila, was delivered in November 2024, while the remaining four LNG carriers are slated for delivery through 2025 and 2026.
