Drydocks World is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), driven by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (India). This strategic partnership is set to bring global best practices to the ship repair ecosystem in India and accelerate the growth of the country’s maritime trade.
The signing took place in the esteemed presence of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE; H.E. Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Group Chairman & CEO of DP World; Shri Piyush Goyal, Honourable Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India; and Mr. Madhu S Nair, Chairman and Managing Director of Cochin Shipyard Limited, along with senior representatives from both organizations.

Strengthening Ship Repair
The collaboration focuses on developing ship repair clusters in Kochi, Kerala and Vadinar, Gujarat. It also explores opportunities to strengthen offshore fabrication, marine engineering, and strategic infrastructure capabilities in alignment with India’s Maritime India Vision 2030 and Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047.
In this occasion, Capt.
