The Arab Sea Ports Corporation has launched a new Maritime Training Center at the Port of Mukalla, Yemen, inaugurating its first course on "Leadership and Supervisory Skills Development." The initiative was greenlighted by the Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdulsalam Saleh Humid, to enhance the professional skills of the corporation’s employees.

Engineer Salem Ali Basmeir, Chairman of the Arab Sea Ports Corporation, presided over the opening. He emphasized the center’s role in boosting maritime, technical, administrative, and safety skills. The center is tasked with providing ongoing development programs and certifying trainees.

The center's first course targets 22 department managers and spans five days, focusing on refining leadership and supervisory capabilities. The course is led by Engineer Mohammed Abdullah Al-Osta, noted for his extensive expertise in the field.

Mr. Majed Salem Al-Qaeti, Director of the Maritime Training Center, also addressed the gathering, underscoring the center's transformative potential for the corporation. He highlighted its strategic importance in elevating employee efficiency and adapting to industry demands through targeted training initiatives.

This educational advancement is part of the Arab Sea Ports Corporation’s broader effort to foster a skilled workforce capable of navigating the complexities of modern maritime operations and contributing to Yemen’s economic growth.
