ACT and APM Terminals made a powerful impact at Aqaba's sustainable ports workshop
ACT CEO Harald Nijhof and APMT Head of Decarbonization Sahar Rashidbeigi represented their group at the "Powering the Future of Aqaba Ports: Strategies for Decarbonization" workshop on 26th August 2024.
As a main speaker, Sahar Rashidbeigi highlighted APMT's commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2040, addressing global trends and challenges in the maritime industry.
Moreover, Harald participated in a key session focusing on setting targets and developing actionable plans for Aqaba Ports, contributing to the roadmap for net-zero emissions. He highlighted how ACT had pioneered this with the 2022 roadmap release and provided an overview of the many tangible actions taken since to move from Vision to Action.
