Arrival of the First Ship Through Folk Maritime to Jeddah Islamic Port
Celebrating the arrival of the first ship through the Saudi shipping and trade lane 'Folk Maritime' to Jeddah Islamic Port via the ship 'Sunset X', Jeddah Islamic Port held an honoring ceremony for the ship's crew in appreciation of the mutual cooperation between the Saudi Ports Authority and Folk Maritime.
This collaboration will contribute to enhancing the Kingdom's competitiveness on the logistics map and solidifying its standing as a global logistics hub, in line with the targets of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS) and Saudi Vision 2030.
'Folk Maritime', specialized in container ships and feeder ships, is the first Saudi company to provide feeder and barge cargo services and short sea shipping. It offers reliable and efficient services that meet the requirements of customers across the Arabian Gulf, the Red Sea, and beyond.

The company’s choice of Jeddah Islamic Port reflects the port's global reputation for operational excellence, boasting 62 multi-purpose berths and state-of-the-art operational capabilities that enable it to accommodate various ship sizes and types of cargo. Additionally, its competitive advantages make it the leading port among Red Sea ports.
It is worth noting that 'Mawani' recently announced the addition of the new maritime shipping service 'NRS' by 'Folk Maritime' to Jeddah Islamic Port, to connect the Kingdom to the ports of the North Red Sea. This aims to facilitate the needs of the growing market and trade in the region. This service is the sixth in the record of maritime services added by Mawani since the beginning of the current year 2024.
