The Dubai Police has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Trident Engineering & Marine to enhance and strengthen cooperation and coordination in supporting and exchanging expertise in fields related to the design and manufacturing of the force's USVs and their structures.

This partnership also involves joint activities focusing on the Dubai Police Smart Boat Project "Haddad," the first of its kind in the region and unique in some of its features worldwide.

Major General Dr Saleh Abdullah Murad, Director of the General Department of Human Resources, and Mr Keith Oliver, Managing Partner of Trident Engineering & Marine, signed the MoU on behalf of Dubai Police in the presence of several officials from both parties.

This MoU is part of the ongoing development of the Dubai Police Smart Boat "Haddad," a project that supports police and security operations. The boat enhances security coverage of water areas, supports the smart transformation of security operations, reduces operational and maintenance costs of security boats, shortens response times, and strengthens databases through field surveys.

Regarding this collaboration, Major General Dr Saleh Abdullah Murad stated that Dubai Police is committed to enhancing communication and cooperation to develop projects that serve the police's operational framework. He emphasized the role of partnerships in exchanging expertise, knowledge, and specialized sciences to support projects that achieve Dubai Police's strategic goals. Dubai Police has numerous local, regional, and global partnerships that have contributed to adopting the latest practices and sharing their pioneering innovations with partners.

He added that the signing of MoUs to support the Dubai Police Smart Boat "Haddad" project is based on extensive studies, research, visits, and joint coordination with various relevant entities to ensure this project becomes a local and global leading model.

Brigadier Dr. Hassan Suhail Al Suwaidi, Director of the Ports Police Station, stated that the MoU contributes to the ongoing development of the Dubai Police Smart Boat "Haddad." He explained, "It reflects Dubai Police's commitment to adopting innovations that serve the security and police framework, including maritime security."

Mr Keith Oliver, Managing Partner of Trident Engineering & Marine, expressed pride in partnering with Dubai Police on the "Haddad" smart boat project. He highlighted that this collaboration demonstrates their commitment to maritime transportation and innovation.

The MoU enables both parties to collaborate on designing and manufacturing the boat's structure, exchange knowledge, and foster development and innovation in joint projects.
