The Port of Tripoli has received the container vessel CMA CGM EUGENIE, marking the largest ship to berth at the Lebanese port since its establishment.
Operated by CMA CGM, the vessel measures 366 metres in length and has a carrying capacity of nearly 15,000 TEU, placing it among the largest container ships currently in international service.
The call reflects the port’s operational capacity and its readiness to handle ultra-large container vessels, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance its role in regional and global shipping networks.
According to port officials, the development supports Tripoli’s positioning as a logistics hub and maritime gateway for Lebanon and the Eastern Mediterranean. It is also expected to contribute to improving the port’s attractiveness to international carriers and to support future trade activity, investment prospects, and regional connectivity.
The arrival of CMA CGM EUGENIE forms part of the port’s broader development trajectory and highlights its increasing integration into Eastern Mediterranean container shipping routes.
