UK-based Tekmar has secured a US$1.5 million contract from an existing Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPIC) customer to deliver engineered scour protection solutions for a major port infrastructure development in the Middle East.
The project will see Tekmar provide engineering design and the supply of bespoke scour protection systems, helping ensure the long-term stability and resilience of critical port and harbour infrastructure in challenging marine environments. Delivery of the Tekmar solutions is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.
Ports and harbours operate in demanding conditions where seabed mobility, hydrodynamic forces and long-term asset integrity are critical considerations. Tekmar’s engineered scour protection technology is designed to mitigate these risks, extending asset life and reducing long-term maintenance requirements for port operators.
Commenting on the award, Richard Turner, CEO of Tekmar, said: “We are very pleased to be able to strengthen our relationship with this key customer. This award reflects the significant value Tekmar’s technology brings to the growing ports and harbours sector and highlights our continued success in developing a more diversified global footprint.”
