The Hellenic Institute of Marine Technology (HIMT) and HEMEXPO – Hellenic Marine Equipment Manufacturers & Exporters signed a Memorandum of Understanding during Posidonia 2026, marking a new strategic partnership and underscoring the spirit of innovation showcased throughout the international maritime exhibition.
The agreement reflects a shared commitment to strengthening Greece’s maritime technology ecosystem by fostering closer cooperation between industry and research. Through a range of joint initiatives, including pilot projects, technology transfer activities, and participation in European programs, the partnership aims to accelerate innovation and further promote Greek maritime expertise on the global stage.
Set against the backdrop of Posidonia 2026, the signing highlights a common vision for the future of the maritime sector, where collaboration, knowledge exchange, and technological advancement serve as key drivers of the shipping industry’s green and digital transformation.
