APM Terminals Bahrain showcased the marine operations supporting vessel departures from the port through a practical activity involving its specialised marine operations teams.
As part of the occasion, APM Terminals Bahrain organised a practical activity highlighting the nature of marine operations associated with a vessel’s departure from the port, with the participation of the relevant marine operations teams.
The activity reflected the importance of coordination and integration between different teams to ensure operations are carried out efficiently and in line with the highest safety standards. It also highlighted the resilience and readiness of the Marine Team in maintaining the continuity of vessel berthing and unberthing operations during challenging circumstances, supported by safe pilotage, towage and effective operational coordination.
Commenting on the occasion, Matthew Luckhurst, Managing Director of APM Terminals Bahrain, said: “The World Maritime Day provides an important opportunity to recognise the vital role of the maritime sector and the people who support it in enabling trade and maintaining supply chains.
