UZMAR Shipyard has delivered the RAstar 3200W series tugboat Montrose to Scotland-based Targe Towing Ltd. The vessel was built in Kocaeli, Türkiye, and is now in service operating in Scottish waters.
Designed by Robert Allan Ltd. and constructed by UZMAR Shipyard, the Montrose is configured for escort and harbour towage operations in demanding sea conditions.
The vessel has an overall length of 32.00 meters and a molded beam of 13.20 meters. It is powered by two 2,560 kW engines, reaching a maximum speed of 13 knots. The tug has a bollard pull exceeding 90 tonnes and accommodates a crew of 10. Fuel capacity is 199.4 m³, with 39.8 m³ of fresh water capacity.

UZMAR Chairman of the Board A. Noyan Altuğ stated: “We weld the UZMAR name onto every vessel we build. This name represents all of us, from our designers to our welders, engineers, and captains. Montrose was born in Turkiye but will operate in Scotland, carrying our pride across the seas. We are not merely transferring ownership; we are delivering a vessel built by seafarers, for seafarers.”
