The U.S. military fired on a tanker that was attempting to breach the blockade imposed on Iranian ports, disabling the vessel, a U.S. official said on Friday.
The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said American forces disabled the M/T Lavine in the Gulf of Oman on Friday after the vessel attempted to run the blockade.
