OneLearn Global (OLG) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) to develop an AI-powered Transformational Learning Hub (T-Learning Hub) for SSA’s training department.
The agreement, signed during Singapore Maritime Week (SMW), reflects a shared commitment to advancing continuous learning and enabling more personalised, self-directed professional development across the maritime sector.
The SSA is a trade association representing a broad spectrum of shipping companies and maritime-related businesses in Singapore. The association plays a role in the development and adoption of innovative maritime and port technologies in Singapore, through the knowledge and expertise found within its extensive member network.
As part of the MoU, both organisations will collaborate to develop, operate and maintain an AI-driven eLearning platform for the maritime industry. The platform will initially launch in Singapore, leveraging OneCare Group’s existing technology, before expanding to serve the global maritime community.
Managing Director of OneLearn Global, Capt. Sundeep Sequeira, said:
“Partnering with the Singapore Shipping Association marks a significant milestone in our mission to transform how learning is delivered across the maritime industry. As the sector navigates rapid technological change and increasing regulatory complexity, there is a growing need for more agile, accessible and personalised training solutions.”
“Through this collaboration, we are bringing together deep industry expertise and advanced AI capabilities to create a next-generation learning ecosystem that empowers seafarers and maritime professionals to take greater ownership of their development, continuously build new skills, and stay ahead in an increasingly competitive global landscape.”
Executive Director of Singapore Shipping Association, Loh Chun How, added: “This collaboration marks an important step forward in maritime training and innovation, helping to strengthen how we prepare our workforce for a more digital and fast-changing industry.”
The T-Learning Hub will offer a dedicated digital environment for SSA members and the wider Singapore maritime ecosystem to upskill and future-proof their workforce. It will feature a centralised online course library, bringing together content from SSA, OneLearn Global and approved third-party providers.
AI will play a central role in delivering personalised learning journeys, enabling maritime professionals to access tailored training pathways aligned with their roles, experience levels and career ambitions.
The platform is expected to expand internationally, incorporating multilingual capabilities to support regional markets including Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar and China.
