Khorfakkan Port is reinforcing its role as a strategic gateway for regional and global trade, enhancing connectivity between China and the Gulf through its Khorfakkan Commercial Terminal and enabling faster, more reliable access to regional markets.
Through its GT Lines network, Gulftainer has introduced the Khorfakkan China Express (KCX 1), a dedicated China–Gulf shipping service linking Port of Qingdao, Port of Shanghai, and Port of Nansha directly with Khorfakkan Port on a fortnightly basis, providing improved transit efficiency and predictable cargo flows into the UAE and onward inland destinations.
Operated with a dedicated three-vessel fleet, the KCX Loop 1 service is designed to ensure schedule reliability, secured capacity, and consistent performance across the trade lane.
Backed by Momentum Logistics, the service extends beyond maritime operations by integrating inland logistics through a robust landbridge and trucking network, enabling seamless cargo movement from port arrival to final delivery points across the UAE.
The KCX 1 service is expected to deliver several key advantages, including faster transit times between China and the Gulf and direct maritime connections linking Qingdao, Shanghai, Nansha, and Khorfakkan. It also enhances integrated port-to-inland logistics across the UAE, ensuring seamless cargo movement beyond the port while offering optimized lead times for time-sensitive shipments, further strengthening Khorfakkan’s position as a strategic hub for China–Gulf trade.
