Hutchison Ports Jazan (JCPDI) today announced the launch of a new Strategic Growth & Volume Incentive Framework designed to enhance the port's commercial competitiveness and drive long-term scalability for the container business in the Red Sea.
Positioned as a high-reliability, cost-efficient alternative to congested gateway terminals, JCPDI's new performance-linked structure aims to mitigate risks for carriers and capitalize on shifting global shipping patterns. For a limited time only, the framework introduces aggressive "Welcome" promotions for new users alongside tiered volume rewards for local and transshipment cargo.
Key Highlights of the Incentive Framework:
- New Service & First-Time User Promotion: To offset initial operational costs, new services or first- time carriers will receive a 20% flat discount on Container Handling/Stevedoring and Port Services for the first 90 days.
- Marine Dues Waiver: To encourage trial voyages, the port is offering a 100% waiver on Marine Dues for the first three vessel calls, providing an estimated value of SAR 20,000 (subject to vessel GRT).
- Tiered Local Cargo Incentives: To stimulate regional trade, volume-based incentives for local imports and exports reach up to 20% for volumes exceeding 40,000 boxes.
- Transshipment Growth Rewards: To establish Jazan as a premier transshipment hub, the framework offers significant scaling incentives, peaking at a 50% discount for transshipment volumes over 50,000 boxes.
"This framework is a strategic investment in our partners' success," the company stated. "By offering a high-reliability alternative in the Red Sea, we are providing the financial and operational flexibility necessary for carriers to optimize their supply chains during these periods of regional disruption".
