Global ship management services provider Dockendale Ship Management DMC CO and methanol marine specialist Green Marine are pleased to announce the formation of a joint venture to focus on fully integrated crewing and technical management of methanol powered ships.
Methanol has gained a large number of followers in the maritime transport industry, currently engaged in searching for environmentally friendly options. On that account, Dockendale and Green Marine unified their remarkable technical expertise in the field of using methanol as an alternative fuel to assist shipowners in accelerating the transition to a methanol powered maritime future.
Under the terms of the agreement, a new company, Dockendale Green Marine Ship Management is being established, headquartered strategically in Dubai. In addition, key leadership appointments have been made and include CEO Vikrant Gusain, COO Morten Jacobsen, CTO Fredrik Stubner, and CFO Michael Herb.

The maritime industry is witnessing a significant rise in demand for alternative fuels, resulting in a wave of orders for methanol-powered ships. Most of the leading companies in the maritime sector are now shifting towards alternative fuels solutions, accelerating zero emission road in the shipping industry. In the long-term, methanol may be a strong contender for minimizing ship emissions and helping shipowners meet IMO requirements
