COSCO SHIPPING Lines announced that, with immediate effect, it has resumed accepting new bookings for general cargo containers for shipments originating from the Far East to key destinations across the Middle East. The resumed services cover the following countries: the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq.
The company noted that both the new booking arrangements and the actual carriage of cargo remain subject to change in light of the evolving and volatile situation in the Middle East region. Customers are advised to coordinate directly with COSCO SHIPPING Lines’ local agents, sales representatives, or customer service teams for detailed information regarding booking procedures, freight rates, and applicable terms of carriage.
COSCO SHIPPING Lines further clarified that shipments from the Far East to the Middle East that were accepted prior to the issuance of this advisory will remain governed by their original transportation arrangements. The newly announced booking measures will not affect or prejudice the company’s rights concerning previously confirmed cargo.
The company will continue to closely monitor developments in the region and will provide timely updates through its official website and customer service channels as further information becomes available.
