Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) H.E. Aymen bin Tawfeeq AlMoayed honored former ASRY Chairman Mr. Yousif Isa Bubshait in a lunch ceremony hosted in the Company Headquarters in Hidd on Thursday the 9th of March 2023. The ceremony was attended by the Managing Director, Mr. Mazen Matar, members of the Board of Directors, representatives of the Shareholding Countries, and the ASRY Executive Management team. H.E. The Chairman extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to the former Chairman for his valuable contributions to the success and prosperity of the company thus far and expressed his hopes in following in his footsteps to lead ASRY towards a brighter future. In turn, the former Chairman congratulated H.E. Aymen Almoayed on his appointment, wishing him success, and entrusting him to lead ASRY towards further excellence.
Concurrently, the 2023 first Quarter Board of Directors meeting also took place under the chairmanship of H.E Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed who extended his earnest appreciation to H.H Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad AlKhalifa, Representative of H.M the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Board Chairman of the Oil and Gas Holding Company (nogaholding), for his appointment welcoming at the same time all the attendees. From their side, Board Members congratulated the Chairman on his appointment, wishing him success in carrying out the trust and completing development plans and programs in the next stage.
The meeting also reviewed the progress made at various levels during the previous period, and several topics were discussed, the most important of which is following up on Board of Directors previous decisions and recommendations, revising Audit Committees and Corporate Governance reports, reviewing the company’s overall performance levels in terms of safety, technical aspects, commercial aspects, and financial status, as well as the company’s digital transformation journey.
To conclude, H.E. the Chairman reiterated his thanks and appreciation to the members of the Board of Directors, pledging to do his utmost best to contribute to the success of the company and elevate its position globally. He also expressed his appreciation to the Executive Management, headed by the Managing Director, and ASRY Divisional Managers and all employees of the company for their efforts in raising work efficiency and their outstanding contributions to the success of its operations and improved performance.
