The Algerian capital will host the third session of the Algerian Maritime Forum on April 15, with the participation of stakeholders from the maritime and financial sectors, according to a statement issued Wednesday by the organizers of the event.
The same source explained that this session will be held at the Mercure Hotel under the slogan "Financing Maritime Transport," where it will be dedicated to examining the mechanisms for financing this strategic activity, in addition to discussing the transformations taking place in the economic models associated with it.
This meeting is expected to bring together decision-makers, ship owners, investors, financial institutions, public bodies and port operators, with the aim of exchanging views on ways to support investment, enhance the competitiveness of the sector and improve the performance of maritime assets.
Participants will, in particular, discuss a number of topics related to the dynamics of investment in maritime transport finance and the role of banks, specialized funds and institutional investors, as well as new models for structuring and owning maritime assets.
The forum's proceedings will also address public-private partnerships and cross-border investments, as well as ways to develop emerging maritime centers.
The organization of this session comes in a context characterized by the accelerating pace of modernization in the maritime transport sector, where financing is seen as one of the key factors to support investment and accompany the transformations that the sector is experiencing.
According to the organizers, the Algerian Maritime Forum has become a space for exchange between the various actors in the maritime system and a platform for exploring opportunities for cooperation and partnership in the field of maritime economy.
